What kind?** A: There are no bulbs to replace as this does not use incandescent bulbs which burn out. This lamp uses LED's which generally last 20,000 hours or more, gives off a bright white light while using very little power from the batteries so they last much longer. If for example you used it every day, 8 hours a day, 5 days a week for a year that would be 2,080 hours and it would last, with that usage over 10 years. **Q: How do you get the handle up?** A: Just pull up on the yellow handle. One pulled up very easily. The other one I pulled up with a knife. See my update below.The price really fluctuates on this light but so far it has been a fantastic purchase. It has only suffered a few minor drops on rock/concrete/metal so I can't attest to how "indestructible" it is yet. I've been using this for waterfowl hunting out in the boat so it sees all manner of weather and temperatures. Decently bright, casts a great distance and has had zero issues with being in and around water.Update: I got one season of use out the flashlight and then after being in storage for a few months it no longer works at all. It was stored in a dry container, with low humidity and constant room temperature, and the batteries removed. I tried a whole new set of freshly charged batteries but it does not turn on at all. I take it on walks with my dog at night and it will light up the woods for as far as I can see. Very durable and uses AA batteries which is a plus. I have yet to replace the factory installed batteries. The only drawback may be the pistol grip...although it makes it really easy to hold, I’m concerned that I may get shot walking with it at night. Worth the risk.
