I received this unit but found that it would trip my GFI breaker for the receptacle on our porch. When I moved this to a non-GFI receptacle, the unit would not work. I called and talked to Ron at Cleanrth about the problem. He was very apologetic told me that they would immediately send me two (2) replacement units – the second one to compensate for the inconvenience of having this problem. He promised that he would personally test both of these units before sending them. I was extremely impressed with Cleanrth’s response to this problem. Customer Service like that is sorely lacking in many of the companies that I deal with in my engineering profession and it was refreshing to have them respond so quickly and generously to this situation. Since I plugged in both units on our porch, we have not had our bat friends camping out over our door. It was late in the season when we started to use the CB006 Bat Repeller from Cleanrth Products and the weather in Northern New York turned cold which normally deters bat activity. Therefore, I cannot say for sure how effective this unit was in deterring the bats.
