Review: Wonderful little paint set - These paints are a great value for the money. The tin they come in is not only cute, it is very easy to handle. I bought these to use on a road trip. The tin container is small but has enough room on the inside to use as a pallette. There are three areas to mix paints if you take out the part that holds the paints; there is an embossed area beneath that with four additional areas to mix colors. The colors are beautiful and richly pigmented. I have metallic paints from other well-known known companies that are not as heavily pigmented as these and only show up on black paper. These paints not only look gorgeous on black paper, but also show up quite easily on white paper. That is what really sold me on these paints. At the same time i ordered this set i also ordered a traveling water color set from another company. They came in the same kind of tin! I have mixed these metallic paints with the watercolors from the other set with stunning results. The price is great for what you get. They're definitely worth the while.
Review: Such pretty shiny colors!!! - As you can see from the photos, these metallic paints put a very nice sheen on top of my mixed media of gouache and ink. I’ve had these for a couple of weeks, and I’ve been playing with them a lot. So much fun and the colors are beautiful. They blend nicely. They flow smoothly and they look great as an overlay. I am so pleased and I highly recommend these. They come with a cute little velvet pouch and a couple of water pins. There are also swatch cards in black and whit included. That’s a nice plus. I will definitely buy This brand again.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Could these be used in junk journals as a paint flicker ? Would this paint show up on paper if i flick the paint onto the paper and try and make rain**
A: It might work. I found them to be paler in color than some other metallics. Try it on some scrap paper first would be my suggestion.

**Q: Do these work well to complement and expand the Paul Rubens 24 palette? Are they as opaque?**
A: The metallic watercolor paint is high coverage , hope our reply is helpful to you

**Q: Is the paint color permanent or will it fade? I want to use this to paint my house keys. Will the paint stay on my keys permanently or will it fade?**
A: You would not use watercolor for painting your keys. You could try an acrylic maybe or an oil paint but water color is just going to come right off. A good more permanent solution would be the Testors hobby enamel paint and that would last a long time. Or just get an inexpensive can of spray paint that’s colorful and that you could use for other things too. Oh and nail polish would work too. Good luck.

**Q: Is the paint permanent? Like will it come off easily off objects that aren’t paper?**
A: I would suggest you put a Ground on the object before using watercolor! I use Daniel Smith Transparent Watercolor Ground. I looked it up on YouTube and that person used it on Plastic, wood, glass and rocks!

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ weaker colors but pretty
*by D***S on June 28, 2026*

I liked this but I thought that the colors were not deep enough. I felt like you had to put a lot of water in them and then the colors were deeper and richer too. Sure they were easy to use and not sure about the durable.
