I was pleasantly surprised to see that it did (I did pop a couple of ice cubes in the drink as I thought it may help- took them out half way through the process). What resulted was a refreshing cold and soft slush! (That the Mrs tried to nick off me!) You should’ve seen the smile on my face! Im guessing it would work faster if I had kept it in freezer for the recommended time. Washed/ dried and back in the freezer ready for tomorrow afternoon! A bit pricey for what it is- but I’m going to make sure I get good use from this! I’m looking forward to experimenting and trying different recipes. This cup works awesome and we love it, but the other person that answered this - that it does work for diet, really made me want it. However, after trying many different diet sodas, we have come to the conclusion that it will not work without sugar or substantial amounts of fat, such as cream. Being on a low carb diet, we are allowed fat, so it can still work as a diet tool, but don't expect it to work with diet soda plain. And my son loves it. *by M***P on 20 November 2024* This works exactly as described. There must be over 4% sugar, and just scrape the sides every 1 to 1.5 minutes with the provided spoon. About 10 minutes later, you'll have a slushie. After about 2 weeks, my son is still very enthusiastic, and trying new flavour combos. What I also like is that this slushie maker limits his sugar intake to one 8fl oz drink per day (small, but enough when frozen).
