Review: I did a strip on the front of the hood and didn't cover the entire hood the first time and spent a good deal of time cleaning up - Use to put a clear "bra" on my truck. Make sure you cover what ever you don't want sprayed with newspaper or something. You use the bug and tar cleaner spray to get the overspray off. Follow the directions and make sure the edge is still wet when you peel off your tape or the edge will peel up and tear. The Clear isn't really clear, its more of a clear matte finish. But does provide good protection from rock chips etc. Good product for the price.

**Q: Does this create a glossy or matte finish**
A: The Armor All will leave a matte finish. I have not used it, but I recently saw a finishing Gloss spray by Plasti-dip in Lowe's. if you need a gloss finish, you could try that over the protective coat.
