Aluminum has a lower temperature rating and is cheeper. I believe this is aluminum with the 1600 temp rating **Q: Should I put a little on my rear shock bolts after installing new ones?** A: I use them on spark plugs due to the heat of the engine. I do not see how it would hurt to use on the bolts/nuts for your shocks so go for it. **Q: What is the thrmal conductivity of this?** A: Here's a better response: 1600 degrees F. This is what I found online for the part number, although the website the below is from references the part # as PM37617, whereas my stick just says 37617.
