These may be able to support up to 500lbs when deployed, and were very expensive compared to other options (we wanted to buy once, and get good quality) but they don't collapse properly. For $140 we expect better quality than this. The mis-alignment affects the bolt position of the bracket to the desk surface, this will cause added friction at the hinge, excessive wear, and eventual squeaks if it has to flex every time the desk is raised or lowered.
