I am able to skip using it for several weeks to several months at a time now. I will use it the second I start to feel a change in my scalp and it prevents a flare up. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Long time sufferer of itch and dandruff. I was to the point of going mad when I discovered I may have scalp psoriasis. I looked up what helps and stumbled upon tar and took a shot at this shampoo. I LOVE IT! It's the only thing I've ever tried that actually works. Immediately calmed the itch and started clearing the flakes. I used it daily for a week and now I do every other day or three times a week. If I go too long, the problem comes back. I use this with just a regular conditioner to help with the tar smell. It's strong out of the bottle but rinsing and using the conditioner helps mask it. I was worried about that! Follow the directions, and use a shampoo brush if you want extra scrubbing. I am so thrilled I found this. So more itch, no more large chunks of skin in my hair (so gross), no more red or bleeding scalp, no more psoriasis build up (looked like cradle cap).
