Does add a bit of shine as well and it doesn’t smell bad. However due to my job my hair gets wrecked on a regular basis so I wanted wax that would be flexible enough to be able to re-style if needed later in the day. I wouldn’t say this stuff is wax but more like a super thick gel that dries after a couple hours and restyling is just not possible.
