I have very long hair and find the large works for hold a bun comfortably if I catch it just right. I love how secure and light it is. I do wish there was a larger size. I also have to be careful when I take it out that I don't get my hair tangled around it.Unfortunately, on the smallest clip the coating was rough and there were bare spots where the metal was showing. A bit of black nail polish took care of the problem. They included a free American-made clip and the coating felt more substantial. I am giving four stars because the price was low enough that I was able to try all three sizes and see what worked for me.
