Although it limits a lot of the default features - you get 2.4 & 5 GHz bands at desired country server. Split tune long enables certain devices to have no VPN and rest to have selected VPN. The range is weak though - network doesn’t go beyond 2 thick walls.

**Q: Does this wrt 3200 acm work with tomato firmware**
A: Nope, Tomato has not been ported to these newer routers.  Shibby Tomato might be in the future....but he is slowing down and might be out of the game, haven't seen anything from him for a while anyway.  I am running the most current as of this writing release of DD-WRT on two of these routers with no problems.  I have two WRT3200s as bridged clients on 5ghz connected to a WRT1900ACSV2 access point, and use the 2.4 radio for my devices.  This configuration works very well for me and I'm covering about half my 10 Acres with solid connectivity.  I've been pretty happy with them, and DD-WRT is magnitudes more stable and has far more options than the stock firmware.  If you do go with DD-WRT.....follow the download links to the betas directory, then drill down in that for the current Linksys devices.  Take a gander at the DD-WRT forum for the Marevel chipsets for up to date install directions and tips for this router.

**Q: Does this run hot?  Any throttling or instability issues noticed under heavy usage?**
A: My unit does not get hot and runs mildly warm.  I have lots of open space around the Linksys for ventilation.  I have experienced no instability with three users.

A: Hi, Rudi. It is recommended that you only connect 32 devices at the same time for optimum use, but it can handle more than that. You shouldn't have a problem with your setup.

**Q: password**
A: A lot of the newer devices have their default passwords listed on the bottom of the device. A factory reset should change the password back to that value.
