It has a 12 hour and 18 hour cycle - you can't set it for just any time period, but those time cycles work fine for me. Two outlets are twice what I had on my previous timer, and setting it is easier than the last one. Since late February it has helped germinate lots of flats of delphinium, foxglove, and peppers in my basement. Review: So nice... I bought it twice! - Awesome grow light timer for the indoor gardener. It is so EASY to use, and has a self recharging battery backup. I bought one and used it for a couple months and now I just bought another one for my expansion tent. Cons: Only drawback to this unit is the bulky size, it takes a bit too much room on a surge protector strip, IMO. Although it is nice to have a large LCD readout.
