## Questions & Answers

**Q: What speed is the ethernet port? Is it 10/100 or 1gigbit?**
A: Hi Erik, the speed of the Ethernet port is 1gb. I have purchased (2) of these devices and they both work great!

**Q: Has anyone successfully connected to the web interface 192.168.144.200 using this device? Can you provide instructions? I get "site can't be reached"**
A: The default IP address is 192.168.144.200.The user name is "admin" and the password is "entropic". No quotes. To access the unit, you need to first change the computer's IP address to something like, 192.168.144.1, then connect the computer via Ethernet to the adapter's Ethernet port while powered on, but not connected to coax. Since you don't know how and never heard of google, read here, http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/19249/how-to-assign-a-static-ip-address-in-xp-vista-or-windows-7/Then enter the device IP in the address bar of your browser. This will bring up the GUI for the adapter. In 99.9% of it's uses there is no need to access the GUI.

**Q: I already have a tivo romeo (direct connection to router) with a moca connection to a tivo mini. can this be added to connect a pc to the internet?**
A: I'm inferring from your question's preface that you have a 6-tuner Roamio Plus or Pro with built-in MoCA bridging, establishing your MoCA network on your coax lines. That being the case, yes, you can connect additional MoCA adapters, as needed, connected to the same coax plant to extend wired networking to other locations. However, note that your TiVo Roamio Plus|Pro DVR's MoCA hardware is MoCA 1.1, and so will constrain this standard MoCA 2.0 adapter to MoCA 1.1 functionality/throughput, 140+Mbps. You might consider grabbing a pair of these MoCA 2.0 adapters, using one to replace the MoCA bridging function currently handled by your DVR, bumping the bandwidth between the pair of standard MoCA 2.0 adapters to 400+Mbps.An added benefit of using a standalone MoCA adapter as your main MoCA bridging device, rather than your TiVo DVR, is that the MoCA adapter likely won't be offline as often, such as when the TiVo DVR is rebooting, netting you a more stable network, overall.p.s. Were you to switch to using a standalone MoCA adapter as your main MoCA bridging device, rather than the TiVo DVR, you'd need to decide whether to connect the DVR as strictly an Ethernet or MoCA client. Which you choose may depend on how the majority of your TiVo Minis are connected. Connecting the Roamio Plus|Pro via MoCA would allow the DVR to communicate directly with any MoCA-connected Minis, but sacrificing the Gigabit Ethernet connection to the DVR; a trade-off I've used is to keep the DVR connected via Ethernet, but connecting both the DVR, the bridging MoCA adapter and any Ethernet-connected Minis to a standalone Gigabit Ethernet switch, rather than directly to the router's built-in switch, maximizing the DVR's bandwidth while segmenting the TiVo traffic from the router -- allowing TiVo-to-TiVo traffic to continue uninterrupted if the router is temporarily offline.

**Q: Is there a Web interface to configure this device? What is the address and pw?**
A: The adapter has the website for management. You can visit the website to inquire, manage and upgrade. The default IP address is 192.168.144.200.The user name is admin and the password is entropic.
