It offers a matte, almost flat finish with excellent coverage (2.1m² per tin for durable finish), is waterproof, UV resistant, and eco-friendly with minimal VOCs. Self-priming, self-sealing, and self-levelling, it requires minimal prep and no topcoat, making it ideal for updating furniture and surfaces like wood, metal, laminate, and UPVC. Certified safe for children’s toys, it combines professional durability with effortless style. ## Description General: - Water based - Suitable for interior and exterior use - Chalk and mineral paint formulated for wooden furniture. Also suitable for laminate, powder coated radiators, UPVC, ceramic wall tiles (we recommend avoiding very wet areas like shower/bath surrounds). Can be used for internal walls – in this case, thinning with up to 10% tap water is advised to ease application. - Also suitable for interior wood, concrete and most laminate floors with correct application – please note that maintenance may be required in these situations. - Minimal VOC content with virtually no odour - UKCA and EN71-3 certified (safe for use on children’s toys) EN71-3:2013+A3:2019 - Self-priming – no primer or undercoat required - Finish – flat, almost no sheen - Self-sealing - does not require a top coat for durability - Self-levelling - meaning little to no brush marks is achievable. Coverage: - A 250ml tin will provide a single coat of up to 4.2m2. For a durable finish, a minimum of 2 coats is required, so your 250ml tin should provide full coverage for just over 2m2 on non-porous surfaces like laminate or metal. - Porous, or ‘thirsty’ surfaces like bare wood or MDF, tend to absorb paint meaning additional coats are likely to be required to achieve a durable finish. In this case, your 250ml tin will provide less than 2m2 of full coverage. If you apply the paint too thinly, durability may be affected. ## Features - An elegant neutral, this totally timeless sage green ticks so many boxes. Its whisper of a grey undertone effortlessly sets the mood in any space, indoors or out, from country cottage to modern botanical - Perfect for updating your kitchen, bathroom, front door or just about anywhere! It is a water based, durable, weatherproof, UV resistant chalk and mineral paint specifically developed to transform your garden or indoor furniture. It is incredibly versatile, eco-friendly, smooth, creamy and virtually odourless - Requiring simple preparation, it is self-levelling (meaning little to no brush marks), self-priming and self-sealing with excellent coverage - The Al Fresco Range has minimal VOC content and has gone through rigorous testing to be certified UKCA and EN71-3 compliant meaning it is safe to use on children’s toys - With a very low, almost flat finish, suitable for wood, laminate, UPVC and metal, it is a great choice for your kitchen, bathroom, front door or just about any type of garden furniture. We make every effort to match our online colour swatches to the paint, however, we cannot guarantee an exact colour replication as images can display differently due to screen types and device settings. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | Age Range Description | Children | | Asin | B08VW61Z8K | | Best Sellers Rank | 28,074 in DIY & Tools (See Top 100 in DIY & Tools) 267 in House Paint | | Brand Name | Frenchic | | Colour | Wise Old Sage | | Colour Code | #A7C957 | | Container Type | Tin | | Coverage | 2.1m2 per 250ml for a durable finish | | Customer Reviews | 4.7 4.7 out of 5 stars (310) 4.7 out of 5 stars | | Finish Type | Matte | | Included Components | Brush | | Indoor Outdoor Usage | Outdoor | | Is Waterproof | True | | Item Volume | 250 Millilitres | | Manufacturer | Frenchic Furniture Paint | | Paint Type | Mineral | | Part Number | FC0030012F1 | | Size | 250 ml (Pack of 1) | | Special Features | UV Resistant | | Specific Uses For Product | Interior/Exterior | | Surface Recommendation | Wood,Metal | | Unit Count | 250.0 millilitre | | Water Resistance Level | Waterproof | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Frenchic - **Colour:** Wise Old Sage - **Finish type:** Matte - **Item volume:** 250 Millilitres - **Paint type:** Mineral - **Size:** 250 ml (Pack of 1) - **Special feature:** UV Resistant - **Specific uses for product:** Interior/Exterior - **Surface recommendation:** Wood,Metal - **Unit count:** 250.0 millilitre ## Images ![Al Fresco WISE OLD SAGE 250ml Furniture Paint… - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/41tB7l1E75L.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: Can o use this on an outside wooden door?** A: Yes you can **Q: I have 11 kitchen doors to paint, would 250 tin be sufficient ?** A: Probably not really good paint, but may need two coats, even if you undercoat first **Q: Can you paint a pvc door with this paint** A: I did my composite door with it. Really.pleased with result. **Q: Can you paint floor tiles with this?** A: Hi Craig This is the official guidance with regards to painting tiles PAINTING CERAMIC TILES...OFFICIAL FRENCHIC GUIDANCE Our wonderful chemists at the factory have been running vigorous tests painting ceramic tiles and I finally have the protocol and the definitive green light to officially announce that ceramic tiles can be painted with our Al Fresco Inside/Outside Range. Areas of high humidity and standing water, however, should be avoided, for example adjacent to showers or a tiled area around a bath where water may be allowed to stand. The prep is the same: clean with sugar soap and a light sand to key. Dry thoroughly and without overloading your brush or roller, paint your first coat waiting two hours before applying the second. Treat very gently for two to three weeks thus allowing the paint to cure sufficiently. You can clean your tiles after this time with a mild detergent but avoid scrubbing or harsh chemicals such as limescale removers. Frenchic wall paint has also been given protocol to paint tiles however avoid tiles in wet areas and floor tiles.
