However, if left in the car overnight, it will run down the car battery, and the SUV may not start in the morning. I bought this power adapter, so now I can take the cooler into hotel rooms and plug it into an AC outlet in the room. Problem solved! Also, it works when you go camping and your site has electric hook-ups, as it works in my trailer's 120-volt outlets, too.
