I have a Specialized Rockhopper Expert (hardtail) that I converted from a mountain bike to a hybrid by just switching the rubber. For me the problem fitting high volume tires is always the narrowing of the chain stays at the bottom bracket. If you are using these on a bike with horizontal dropouts the you can just add chain links. I have had these on my single speed 26” wheel mountain bike and a 24” wheel BMX cruiser.
