I was really excited when these arrived, they look gorgeous and were just what I had hoped for. In terms of looks, Wine Croc is the perfect red/purple/brown shade, the kitten heel is 2.75" and they are easy to walk in. This is my first Nine West purchase ever, and they are the perfect long pointed pumps if that's what you're looking for. I was pleasantly surprised that Wine Croc was made with leather uppers, I had expected them to be synthetic. They seem to be made pretty well, although the leather is stiff and there are a few glue smudges on the shoe that I'll have to buff off. There is also super-soft leather inside the heel section, which is a good feature on a pump, but I'm still having major issues with heel rubbing--the seam at the top causes too much friction. I ordered my usual 8.5 and they fit, but they fit kind of narrow and require a lot of breaking in, plus the Achilles rubbing. I put on thick socks and ran a hair dryer on these, and now they fit perfectly. However, the heels still hurt like a b. I even ran my flat iron around the heel rim to soften it and hopefully smooth down the seam. They seemed to improve but my heels are still irritated, so I'll give them a rest before trying these on again. I think I'll just have to fix the problem with heel grips. Another issue was that the toe end of the insole slipped out when I took the right shoe off, but hopefully it'll stay in place with wear. Also the shoes are static-y and seem to attract all sorts of hair and dust, that's pretty annoying. And these show quite a bit of toe cleavage. I have to tweak a few things, but otherwise these heels are perfect. I hope they hold up despite other reviews. ### ⭐⭐ Not What I Was Expecting AT ALL *by L***N on Reviewed in the United States on February 21, 2012* I wanted to like these and I am typically well-pleased with the Nine West brand; however, this pair and another I ordered at the same time were a big bust. I ordered the "Dark Grey" synthetic, and let me start by saying if your idea of dark grey is actually dark murky green, then you'll love these. They actually weren't a bad color, at all, just not at all what I would consider grey. They definitely had a greenish cast to them. And the synthetic material that the upper was made from already showed signs of stress wear and cracking along the side, and I did nothing but take them out and try them on. I could tell that they wouldn't last long--the material was very thin and seemed poorly-made. Even with all that, for the price, I might've kept them as I had some taupe/grey/brown pants that would go well with the green, but they were very tight across the top of the foot, and since it was a synthetic material, there would be no "give" in the material as with leather, which of course will stretch a bit as you wear it. Unfortunately the poor fit, poor-quality material, and the off color all combined to make this a returned product. However, if you have a thinner foot profile than I do, I can say that these were just right in terms of length--I wear a 9.5 and these fit perfectly well in that regard. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Medium heel, Comfy, Classic, Pump *by P***1 on Reviewed in the United States on April 13, 2012* I love these pumps! I have to admit, I have never really been in to pointy toe pumps. Aesthetically, I found the elongated toe often looked "witchy". Then I spotted the Austin by Nine West. I was looking for a lower heel pump to wear with my jeans, suits, or dresses, something that I can dress up or down. Lately, perhaps dictated by fashion, I find myself drawn to the pointy toe silhouette. I ordered these pumps on a whim. They look fabulous (not too long or witchy), and are surprisingly comfortable!! I can't tell you how tired I am of the 4 or 5 inch heels of late, that trend needs to die out already! I love the 2.5, 2 3/4 heel, because I have some height and elegance while also allowing me to walk around all day without pain. They only get 4 stars though because the leather seems a bit thin/lesser quality, but you do get what you pay for. These have been out for awhile, so many of the colors are hard to find. I would love to track down a pair in navy for example. So far I have the black leather and the light nude/neutral.
