I could have used the 2.2"x2.2" clips much better, but fortunately I could use the 1.5"x2.2" instead. So, for 3 filters you need 2 kits. But, I'm not sure this fits the countertop model. Filters look the same, but I don't have them. **Q: What fittings are needed to install just the "ION" filter under a sink for the cold water?** A: I don't know what ion filter you wish to install. But, this set is for adding any filter of your choice to basically any under sink reverse osmosis filter assembly. So, it might work if the filter of your choice has 1/4" tubing connections. Fits most osmosis filter systems if the top filter is accessible. Other fittings and tubing make it an easy process that can up repeated every 6 months or year when replacement becomes necessary. Takes up minimal space under the sink by going vertically.
