It is difficult to create enough leverage to really pull through and slice a watermelon without leaving a lot of it still on the rind. I'm not able to create uniformly thick slices as there may be some twisting and turning to pull the slicing wire through. From slice to slice, I'm not able to get uniform thickness, either. Also, the slices are about 1/4 inch thicker than how I would like it. That might be a personal preference.There's enough difficulty slicing a watermelon. It certainly will not perform on cantaloupe, honeydews, hami melons, etc. At best, if it works on a watermelon, this is a one trick pony. All in all, this is going into the recycle bin.
