The Darjeeling Puttabong First Flush Organic Whole Leaf Tea creates a thick clear golden liquor. In addition to it, it has a nice first flush with good bloom and a coppery bright infusion. The tea has a purplish bloom and a mild fruity flavour. ‘Puttabongâ€TM literally means house of green leaves. Indulge in our exclusive tea from the biggest tea estate in Darjeeling, overlooking the magnificent snow-capped peaks of Mount Kanchenjunga and ending in the snow fed Rangeet River. Planted in 1852, this is the first tea estate in the history of Darjeeling Tea Plantation. This garden is planted with Darjeeling Clonal, Chinary bushes and Clonal tea stock especially developed to meet the agro climatic conditions of the area. The garden produces Orthodox black, green and specially Darjeeling Tea. The mountain breeze kissed by the great Kanchenjunga makes the teas produced by this garden unique. Darjeeling First Flush teas are the produce from the first harvest of the year, from March to May, immediately after the spring rains. Also known as Spring Teas, the Darjeeling First Flush harvested during this period are light in appearance with a brisk flavour having a light yellow cup colour, with delicate flowery flavour and aroma. Our philosophy ‘from Garden to Cup' is a pledge of our devotion to quality and freshness of the tea produced.
