I like the surface of my nails to feel smooth so I ended up applying about 4 layers and it worked a treat. After the 3rd coat it did alter the shade of the nail polish ever so slightly (hardly noticeable but a very slight yellowish tinge), but I didn’t mind that at all. It’s convenient to use as you don’t have to wipe afterwards yet absolutely no sticky residue.
