If yes, this can be achieved, there is a timer function in the APP, you can adjust the time to determine when to turn the switch on and off. **Q: Is PEX strong enough for it to be connected to?** A: That’s hard to say. It all depends how much flex is in the PEX where you are attaching it. If it’s close to a rigid joint, you’re probably fine. I glued a thin block of wood on the side of the valve handle enclosure to ensure a full closure when the valve is off. **Q: Will this work with a pvc ball valve?** A: It will work with any ball valve that has a handle. The type of pipe doesn't seem to matter, although if it's very very flexible you would want to secure it so that The motor can move correctly with enough torque that the pipe does not bend instead of the valve closing and opening. But for any kind of solid piping, PVC included, it should work really well. Mine works great but you need to be fairly close to your wireless access point. **Q: Does this work with Simplisafe water sensors?** A: I have a neighbor that has an Alexis system and today I am taking it over and seeing if we can get the device and app work with his working system. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐ 1.0 out of 5 stars Constantly Goes Offline *by T***. on Reviewed in the United States on October 30, 2022* This worked well for a few months and then it started constantly going offline as many others are reporting. When it is online, it says that the Wi-Fi signal is weak but it sits 10 feet from a mesh router through a single piece of sheetrock. I measured the signal and it was maximum. It is in the crawlspace of a second home and getting to it to reset it so I can get it back online is a real ordeal involving crawling 40 feet. They have to be positioned just right and on one of them I had to place multiple boards alongside of it to support it so it would stay in place while trying to turn the valve. Once I had the boards set up to support it, the valve worked fine but less than a year after install one of them is no longer working at all. The button on it will activate it to go one way, but will not return to the other direction unless I pull the pin and manually move it which defeats the purpose of it.
