Check the specs on it on Shimano website. **Q: Does it work for 9 speed x 3?** A: No, this is for an 11 speed setup. Best used as a 1x setup. One front chainring and an 11 speed cassette. **Q: Is there no way to choose between the two sizes, thumbs down?** A: I have no idea why they put "one size" as an option lol. As long as you do not have more than 46t on the cassette, just close your eyes and pick one, it will work. **Q: 11x42(46) speed rear cassette. Which derailleur GS or SGS 2x 36/22 Ft crank. I read 2x11 SG but does not say which max tooth cassette it will handle.** A: Just installed 1X (30 chainring) with 46 rear 11 speed.
