We found it looks protective enough since the inside is a TPU and the outside is a heavy like texture. It doesn't feel like plastic, and I feel like it would protect the phone from a fall. It made the phone a little bulky but then the phone is big already. We bought a Mr.shielf tempered glass screen to pair it with and it was compatible. It is are pretty and not bulky. I have dropped my phone a few times and no damage. My only problem is that once the case is on, it is very difficult to remove. It takes the back piece of the phone off with it. You have to be very careful not to crack the case or phone piece.
