Review: These really work! - I live in a building that was built in the fifties or sixties. My shower curtain rod on one end got very loose and I tried to glue it back, but that failed miserably. I found the Toofix Self Drilling Drywall Anchor Kit on desertcart while looking to find a fix that was easy. The white wall anchor was much stronger than I anticipated and was easy to install (if the hole is a little too loose, you can get the WetNFix discs designed for crumbly walls (to make a more secure fit, which I also bought and used.) It only took about 10 minutes to install. Now my shower curtain rod is sturdily in place. I recommend the Toofix Self Drilling Drywall Anchor Kit...it's quick and easy.♥

**Q: how to install self drilling drywall anchors?**
A: Just run them in using a phillips screwdriver or a cordless drill/driver with phillips insert bit. A pilot hole makes starting them easier, and be careful to avoid studs. Be careful when running the supplied phillips screw into the anchor, they're a bit too big and can tear the plastic anchor loose from the drywall.

**Q: Will these hold with a number 6 drywall screw?**
A: They are designed for and come with number 8 wood screws. The 6 drywall may be loose but would go in. Depends on your project.

**Q: can these drill through a stud?**
A: If you are drilling directly into a stud you do not need to use the plug. The plug is for walls that will not support the weight of a shelf or heavy object with just a screw and need the plug to hold the screw in place. You need to use a drill bit to make the hole and screw the plug in if there is no stud to support the screw alone. Then the screw can go through the bracket into the plug.

**Q: Will this fit a 1/4"-20 X 1-1/4" screw? I can not find something to match this size. Thank you**
A: I don't think so.  The screws that come with it are  #8 x 1-1/4'', and #8 is generally described as 5/32, which is considerably smaller than 1/4 (which would be 8/32).

I read many reviews and many brands before I decided to buy this kit. I was a bit skeptical and worried to lose a anchor inside the wall or whatever. The job was smooth. The thread is perfect, the fit of the screw into the anchor is 100%. At first I moved with one of the anchors halfway and then tested the screw. The anchor didn’t move from the wall and I de used to go all in with the 6 anchors to fix my tv mount on the wall. The anchors are there where they should be, as are the screws. Maybe I was lucky but it worked for me and I would buy again if I need more of these.
