This book was rushed. Although the characters were cute to read and enjoyable, it could have been so much more.The plot was barely enough to carry the story along, and the conflict between the FMC’s family (that was drawn out and seemingly a big thing) only happened at the last 90% of the book and was only a few measly paragraphs.It was also insta-love, with too completely different characters falling in love in a unrealistic way. Their personalities were not consistent, besides a few obvious main traits that make them unique (gruffness and chatterbox). So what I mean by inconsistent is that FMC is insistent that she does not get with guys on the first date, that she is organized and goal oriented enough to run her own business, that she has risen above her past... but she hasn’t. Her personality shows no connection to her past.. like being unloved, disliked and emotionally abused all her life has not affected her in the slightest. That is, until she faced her family and her personality took a 180. She became quiet and opposite to everything she is. It wasn’t until Fox said anything that she became self assured and strong and seemingly able to “rise above” her family. Yes, I realize this is contradicting, but for her whole personality to flip so quickly doesn’t make sense and it all happens within a few paragraphs.Lastly, the book was shown and told in a disorganized way that disrupted the smoothness the book could have had. One minute it is being shown, then the scene ends and a day passed. All of the internal monologue of emotions (the “falling in love” aspect. The thought process of it) was missing or summarized by lila rose telling it.While I like enjoyed lila rose’s other books (at least the ones I have read so far) this one was disappointing. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Love this series! *by R***E on Reviewed in the United States on June 1, 2017* This is one of those series where you can't wait to find the next one in line! The characters really carry this series. Some of the scenes are a little overly played, such as in this book where the heroine is supposedly kept in the hospital for more than 4 or 5 days for a cut on her neck - a cut that only took 11 stitches to close up! Even if a major artery had been hit, if she survived and the cut only required 11 stitches, then blood loss would be the biggest issue. And that would most likely be solved with blood donation and plasma! But why let something as mundane as logic spoil a good story! Lol! If there is a downside to this and the other books in this series, it's that they seen to have a formula being used. All of the women are feisty, but insecure; they all get kidnapped or grabbed by bad guys and are rescued by their biker guys and or their biker brothers; and the heroes are all gorgeous but also insecure due mostly to their dark and troubled pasts. But, of course, Love conquers all! Throw in some hot and steamy sex scenes and you have something that goes well with a glass of wine and some alone time! Preferably in a bubble bath! After meeting the beautiful, intriguing Ivy on a coffee date Fox is taken with her as she him therefore their love story begans. I haven't laugh so hard at another story in a long time. I just wanted to take Ivy and her attitude and words and put them in my pocket and hug them to me!This book will make anyone feel so glad they picked it up and read it.
