I had to wash it cause it did have a chemical smell. Which is fine cause you should wash your hair anyway. Washing it didn’t mess us its curl pattern at all. But if you are looking for a more kinky puff look just tease the hair. It makes it look more natural. It does shed but that’s okay. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good for the price *by M***E on May 15, 2025* The ponytail matches my hair texture perfectly after some manipulation. I combed it out first and it gave it an afro look that was nice and mimics my hair when its combed out but rewetting it is what gave it the texture I was looking for, it reignited the curl pattern but it looked more authentic and like shiny synthetic curls but real natural hair. It came out the bag looking flat and just wavy. I figured it needed a little love so I used some water and finger combed it out to try to make the curls pop and be big and like the reviews. What I got was a semi curly but mostly nappy boneless or should I say see thru pony tail. Very disappointed. I still tried to make it work since I work in a factory and figured no one would notice. Worked out okay the first day but baby the next morning when I tried to put it back on it was dry, stiff, and for some reason the curls started turning into straight pieces. At that point I knew the pony was done but I still tried to make it work by cutting the straight pieces off. I headed to work and two hours into my shift the top of the pony is straight with a small wavy to it. Never again. I’m just hoping I got a bad batch.
