I'm wanting a large outdoor chalkboard for the backyard.** A: We used this paint on large wooden Christmas trees (we used the green chalkboard paint) where we wanted to change the message frequently. They have been outside in all kinds of weather - snow, rain, ice, sun for approximately 6 weeks for the past 3 years (during the Christmas season). No sign of having to repaint. **Q: Can we use chalk marker pens on this as opposed to chalk itself?** A: Just found a work-around! You can use a sealer to make a porous chalkboard non-porous (or to lock in a sign that you don't want to change).
