## Description

Paint protection film is the most effective way to defend your vehicle from damage caused by stones, sand, gravel, road debris and other contaminants. The film is 8 mil (0.008 ") thick and has a transparent top-coat finish that allows the transparent bra to shine like the paint on your vehicle. It is almost invisible on the painted surface of your vehicle.

Review: THIS 3M Scotchgard Clear Paint Protection is so good , but bit dear from beginning but useful to protect the sill on side doors and key handle very well. Sticks like hell once dry . IF you have expensive or new car , this is a must buy to protect the area where most hand and feet occur . Must have the right tool and chemical to make it work , for stack make a mix of 20% alcohol and 80 water in a bottle and a bit of washing soap in another bottle for cleaning and slide, the plastic is super tough , you can stretch or handle rough to fit in tight area .
Review: This ppf was probably the hardest application I've probably done in a while it definitely wasn't the easiest to apply but with some patience I got it done. I had to use some slip solution plus my heat gun. So my advice to anyone trying it themselves make sure you have the patience and the tools to get the job done overall it's pretty good quality ppf.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: for head lamps, how do you cut to fit and prevent scratching the paint?**
A: The best way I have found to do it is to make a template. Depending on the vehicle make it may be easy to do with tape or you may need paper. I usually make a template and then trace it onto the  film and then cut it out.  Too many curves in the light makes tape the better option and I use making tape like painters tape. Not very many curves and a paper traced template might work the best. When I have done lights I only do the face of the light. Making a template takes a while especially if it's your first time but there is zero chance of cutting, scoring or scratching the light in the process. For me it works the best and yes the first time it took a while for me to cut a template. I went through a few pieces of paper. The tape way uses a lot of tape but can be the easiest versus trying to get paper to lay flat enough to get a template traced and cut. I'm in a body shop so I have plenty of tape on hand at all times and has  never taken even a quarter of a roll. I use the tape by laying it over the face of the light and then taking it all off in one piece and then that becomes my template.  Yes it takes a lot of pieces to do curves but by far for me is the easiest way to do it in a lot of cases especially with how curvy the lights can get. Hope this was helpful to you.

**Q: How much do i need for a bumper? 09 chevy malibu? As well does this leave bubbles?**
A: depends upon the size of the bumper. It is 12" wide and I would make a pattern to ensure coverage. Yes there will be bubbles, but they are suppose to diffuse. In my 1 month experience, the bubbles are small and hard to see.

**Q: how many rolls are enough to cover the full car (Kia Forte 2018)?**
A: Bought 1 roll of 12 by 72 and had enough to cover the bottom portion of the 4 doors in Nissan Altima

**Q: After an installation , can it be removed and how after a period of time ?**
A: Not easy. Expensive to have removed if you can find someone to remove it. Several shops said they would not touch it.   Left at one shop to pick up following day. 5 days later it was ready.   Did a good job but do not know if they would do it again. We tried hot gun, BUT would have taken us a month at the earliest.  Ours was factory installed as as an option when new.
