Most of the tile cleaners at the big box stores were for glazed tile (think subway tile), not natural Stone. We put the tile in before the drywall in the rest of the house and there was "divorce dust" (drywall dust) on everything including my new slate floor. This product really cleaned up all the dust and gunk from the construction and it smells amazing. Since I have slate, I didn't expect it to shine but I imagine that glossy granite would shine nicely. This doesn't have a chemical smell, more like a juice smell. Further, it didn't damage my slate or eat the sealing off of it and it restored my grout to the dark grey it is.This product cleans my floors, smells good and affordable.
