I'm not sure what qualifies as that type of day in Southern California, but here in Maine when I find a sunny day in the 30's, I'm happy to head out and wash my car with soap and water- unfortunately, those days are few and far between here in the winter. Most days don't get ouf of the 20's for the high. I recently attempted to use the spray on wash on my car on a day where the temp was around 18 degrees. The mist froze directly on contact with my car and was not able to be wiped off. I went back out to my garage the next day when it was around 28. This time, I was able to wipe the product before it froze, but it was impossible to buff it to a shine. It just spread around in a thick gross slime- imagine spreading petroleum jelly on your finish- that's basically what it looked like. Back to the drawing board, I guess. I hate the harsh treatment of taking my car through touchless car washes, but it just seems like there is no real alternative in very cold environments.
