Sorry Hope this answers your question. **Q: Used with various papers, not all tear well and torn edges aren't clean. Also tried water bottle. What am I doing wrong?** A: For Memory Keepers deckle edges: I bought the kit to deckle edge watercolor paper. It works well, in that clean edges are not what I am after. I want my paper to look torn, not smooth. It is more difficult to tear the paper if it is very close to the edge...not much to work with. Much easier when I have almost an inch that I am tearing off. Once I have my torn edges, I use pastels to color the edges. The fact that the edges are not smooth holds the color well. Good luck with it. Kit T. **Q: Does anyone have pictures of the tear results?** A: Yes, if I can figure out how to get it to display. **Q: Are the rulers 17" long each, or?** A: The rulers are 12" long each. ## Frequently Bought Together - We R Memory Keepers Rulers and Tear Guide, Easy to Tear and Deckle Paper DIY Craft Project, Zigzag, Wave, Coarse Deckle, Fine Deckle, Card Making, Scrapbooking, Invitations, Journaling, Decorations - We R Memory Keepers Layers Guide Tool, Create Perfect Scapbooking Borders or Photograph Mats Without Measuring, Includes Three Different Sized 12-Inch Rulers, Journaling, Card Making, Crafting - We R Memory Keepers, Envelope Punch Board Kit, Includes 1 6.75" x 10.5" Score Board, Two-Way Envelope Punch, Bone Folder, and Measurement Chart, Create Home Made Envelopes and Invitations --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.tn/products/286073933-we-r-memory-keepers-0633356600824-rulers-and-guides-tear-guides](https://www.desertcart.tn/products/286073933-we-r-memory-keepers-0633356600824-rulers-and-guides-tear-guides) --- *Product available on Desertcart Tunisia* *Store origin: TN* *Last updated: 2026-10-12*
