For my needs, it's been great. It has solid construction, all the hardware I needed (besides a tripod and camera) and doesn't take up much room in my camera bag. It has handy markings for distances and clamps down securely. It is Arca-Swiss mount, which is great for compatibility with other accessories, and comes with mounting plates included.
