It also lessens weight for dips and pull-ups. The rubber is thick and durable. I weigh 240lbs and the rubber handles my weight easily. It is great for working out alone. You first need to concoct a means of attaching rubber as an anchor. Once attached securely, the rubber will act like a spotter. It gives grudgingly. Nice addition to my workout routine. I strongly recommend it for those who workout a lot alone. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Durable and Useful *by A***T on Reviewed in the United States on March 13, 2014* I don't use this band as much as I should but it's great for doing high repitition pull ups or assisting on other such body lifting exercises. This band is very tough and can bear plenty of weight. It's not flimsy at all and is akin to a bicycle tire without the elongating in a nonlinear fashion problem. I previously used inner tubes for similar things but they tended to break a lot. I would recommend getting hook attachments so you can strap them to some rings if you're trying to work on muscle ups or iron crosses because it's too thick to wrap around anything and tie it off. These things are so well made. I was really impressed when I just used them to try them out, after mostly using steel weights all my life. Resistance bands are the real deal and these are very good.
