Some tips on how to use .... *by P***L on Reviewed in the United States on 27 August 2024* I've used this product for years for my cats. It works great. Here are a couple of tips...First, don't buy the version for cats...too costly. Buy the dog pill for dogs over 25 lbs. (It is the exact same drug.) Then use a pill splitter and carefully cut it into 4 pieces. Now you have 4 pills for the price of one...at about 14 mg. each (the small cat pill is 11.4 mg). The small difference is ok. Using two spoons, crush and put into a small spoonful of tuna and you're good to go.Tip 2: You have to break the flea cycle. Give the pill daily if necessary, then cut back to every other day, then back to 2 pills a week. I have kept my cats flea free (they are inside/outside cats) with just one pill a week. But, during the worse flea times (which around here seems to be summer), I go back to 2 per week. So once you break the cycle, keep it broken with 1-2 pills per week.
