Taste is not great, but not too bad. It tastes salty. It’s not overpowering, but I also would not add it to a one note beverage. I might add it to a green smoothie, where it would get lost, or perhaps mixed in a strong lemon water, but that’s about it. I prefer to just mix with small amount of water and down it quickly. This lysine works for my needs and I highly recommend it.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Immune system support, speeds up healing for cold sores

My mother in law introduced me to L-Lysine decades ago when my young daughter experienced chronic ear infections and cold sores. At the time, we only used L-Lysine when symptoms arose. The L-Lysine, when taken at the onset of a cold sore or illness shortened my daughters illnesses dramatically. She is in her mid twenties and she continues to use this supplement for her health, and for her elderly cat (sprinkled into it's food). I now take L-Lysine daily to maintain health. The capsule form of this supplement is affordable and convenient, however, I found I prefer mixing powdered supplements into food or beverages for me and my pets. It allows me to control dosages more easily. The 550g package is distributed by Bulk Supplements dot com. There is no indication of the source of origin or manufacturer on the packaging. There are 735 servings per container, the contents are best before Oct 9, 2017, about 10 and a half months from now. I take this twice a day, so I will be using it a little past the best by date. (367 days at 2x a day) There are no other ingredients, the product is free of sugar, soy, dairy, yeast, gluten, or additives. This is important to me, as I need to avoid these additives due to allergies. The product is easy to measure, and dissolves easily in room temperature water. I recommend this product and I will purchase it again.
