I had to make an additional bracket because they were too tall to go through my garage door without rubbing the frame. There's a nice spring loaded base so it would not be an issue for the whips... but, my garage doors are new with new frame and I just didn't want the black marks.Wiring is straight forward. Nothing too difficult if you're used to doing this kind of thing.So, my only bitch is that they are FINICKY! Sometimes they come on with just the toggle switch without turning on the remote. Sometimes they don't come on at all even with the toggle and remote. Sometimes they just have a mind of their own when they are energized. The just choose the pattern they want without consulting with you! Some times the solid lights won't come on when pressing the remote. Sometimes the modes won't engage with pressing the remote.
