Review: Wow - On est toujours septique pour ce genre d'objectif à faible prix et de fabrication chinoise. Mais Wow: il fonctionne très bien. Belle fluidité des mouvements (ouverture et focus). Pour un Olympus E-M10-III, en mode manuel, c'est excellent. L'objectif est plus lourd que celui d'origine, mais l'équilibre demeure très bien. L'avantage, c'est qu'il n'y a rien de motorisé, rien qui ouvre. Mon objectif Olympus (14-42) est mort après 5 jours de tempête de sable dans le désert Nubien. Donc, cet objectif fixe devrait limiter ce genre de problème. Je le recommande sans hésitation

**Q: Is this compatible with panasonic lumix dmx gx85?**
A: Yes.
You have to go into the GX85 menu and Set the "shoot without lens" to On, (or similar words in the menu). 
You do have to Focus manually.
You do have to set the Aperture.

**Q: Does this lens support manual "focus assist" where the picture becomes magnified in the viewfinder?**
A: It should. It's a manual lens. You can test "focus assist" in your camera, simulating a manual lens, if your camera have a setting "shoot WITHOUT lens" set it to ON. and use whatever lens you already have (even an electronic lens) then test "focus assist" function. If it works, then will work with this lens.

**Q: Compatible with GH5?**
A: Yes, this lens is MFT, therefore this lens is compatible with the GH5. Please note that this is a manual lens, so you will not be getting autofocus.

**Q: Can i put a lens hood on this lens?**
A: Yes. The Meike 35mm f1.7 lens on a micro 4/3 Olympus or Panasonic is the equivalent to a 70mm lens on a 35mm full frame camera. 
I do use a 49mm screw metal hood on that lens that is about 3/4 to 1 inch deep. The hood does not truncate the picture (does not cause vignetting of the lens). The 49mm hood I have also fits a 52mm lens cap (keeps dust off the lens when it is stored).

On est toujours septique pour ce genre d'objectif à faible prix et de fabrication chinoise. Mais Wow: il fonctionne très bien. Belle fluidité des mouvements (ouverture et focus). Pour un Olympus E-M10-III, en mode manuel, c'est excellent. L'objectif est plus lourd que celui d'origine, mais l'équilibre demeure très bien. L'avantage, c'est qu'il n'y a rien de motorisé, rien qui ouvre. Mon objectif Olympus (14-42) est mort après 5 jours de tempête de sable dans le désert Nubien. I just bought the Olympus OM-D e-M10 Mark II mirrorless camera and this lens to go with it. I was not inclined to pay a lot of money for an automatic lens. I am very pleased with this manual lens. It is well built and very easy to focus. Adding the focus peaking and magnifier features from the camera makes focusing extraordinarily easy. My focus is always dead on and quick, and leaves me little reason to want to use an automatic lens. After having taken over a thousand pictures with this lens, I can say that it lens produces superb pictures. You will not be short changed by using this lens. As with any lens, a little Photoshop or Lightroom editing will bring the most out of your pictures. For group shots, I do have to step back quite a distance to take the photo, but that is okay. I manage. There seems to be a misconception among many (even some experts) that these manual lenses cannot handle motion pictures well. Nothing can be further from the truth. I have attached a couple of pictures with movement. I have been able to take numerous motion pictures with no problem, using focus peaking and the proper settings. I think it actually does better than an automatic - the camera never has to search for focus. The focus peaking makes it quick and effortless.
