Pour in water to depth you would want silicon mold to cover. Remove foot, measure the amount of water it took. Volumetric measurement will be the same for how much silicon goo you would need. Remember to keep foot off the bottom to allow for silicon underneath it. Can also use a plastic bag inside a cardboard box if you have nothing else. (Water and foot in the bag.) **Q: Can this mold be reusable? I want to make a mold of a fishing lure. And use resin to make multiples.** A: Caution: If the lure is a hard bait (like a crankbait, etc) you should have no problem. But some soft plastic baits that you may try to copy might contain chemicals that inhibit the curing of "platinum" silicone, (which this silicone is). I wanted to copy a 6 inch soft plastic swimbait, and eventually discovered I had to purchase a "Tin" based silicone because the surface of the "platinum" silicone mold never fully cured (stayed sticky) because of cure inhibition. You don't have this problem with tin based silicones. **Q: Can the cured mold be heated to 350 degrees? I’m not making anything edible, but do need to bake products in molds.** A: Heating a fully cured mold to 350 F (175 C) is not going to create any problems. You probably won't even see a change in modulus. However, I would caution that this is also dependent on what you're heating with it. Many silicone rubbers are gas permeable, which may impact the products you are baking. It worked well enough. Ruined one of the bricks because I didn't mix that area well enough and it just left a sticky residue that I can't really remove.
