With this version the water flow is into the cistern is from a spout at the top so is inherently noisy filling like an old fashioned ball valve. Found the 281.000.00.1 on Amazon at a great price and it is the design that quietly feeds water in at the bottom of the cistern. This item was made for the Spanish market, I understand that the top outflow on the 380AG was introduced to meet a new water standard in the UK. Fitted to the 3/8” pipe very easily, worked ok straight away.
