I've got one that is 6 ft high and it will shoot out around 20 ft and under. A shield could be created to have feeder either drop directly below if needed. Best of luck! **Q: How much feed those it throw per second?** A: according to the included document it dispenses 0.16 pounds per second. I am guessing this number assumes you are dispensing typical deer corn. I am sure this is an approximation and first second is slightly less as it spins up and the last second more as it spins down. It would also vary slightly depending on the size, quality and type of feed you are dispensing. **Q: Can this be used as a chicken feeder?** A: battery pack doesn't have enough power to work below 32 degrees....only works 2 time daily...maybe cracked corn, but not laying mash...and then only a couple pounds of corn each time....wouldn't recommend this feeder for ANYTHING....it's crap !!! **Q: How the heck does the cover come off? I have it screwed down to my work bench with a a ratcheting leather strap on it and the cover won't budge.** A: Mine twisted off easily. However, with fresh batteries the throwing radius is no more than 3ft. I have had it installed only a couple months with 2 -12sec feed times and have had to replaced the batteries atleast a dozen times. Even using long lasting quality batteries 3-4 days is max that it works. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Easy to setup and works great *by R***H on October 8, 2023* I bought this to replace a dead motor on my tripod drum feeder. It fits perfectly . It would also be a good solution for a DIY bucket feeder. Just cut a hole in the both of the bucket, mount this motor and hang the bucket from a branch using rope. Been working for several weeks without issue.
