Grade 9–College. In the Daphnid family but much smaller than Daphnia pulex (approximately half the maximum length). Because of its small size, it makes an excellent live food for freshwater larval-stage fish. Cultured on freshwater algae. For a class of 30 students.

Review: Solid seed colony - Great little colony, strong survival rate, looking good after 3 days. Paying $14.20 for endless fish food is a pretty great deal. I'm feeding dissolved yeast and no issues so far. Good variety of individuals included, small and large. My chili rasboras love them. Looking forward to watching them thrive and multiply!
Review: Healthy an amazing customer service - This company was extremely helpful. I ordered two of them so they could reproduce to feed my pee puffer fish. Initially, when I receive them, a lot of them were dead I think because of the heat while in transit, even though they arrived a few days before they were even projected to. However, as soon as I let them know, customer support sent me a whole jar free of charge and there were so many in that jar. I’m so grateful that they were so helpful because I use these as a food source for my aquatic life, so it was very important to me that they came alive. I absolutely recommend them. They are so helpful, so generous, and they have very healthy critters.
