I have an multi-game arcade with a traditional joystick (think Pac-Man). The joystick would get sticky and not return to center on its own. I had to disassemble the joystick every couple of months to clean and lubricate the moving parts. I tried various types of spray lubricants including silicone and oils. None of them solved the issue. The controls would be ok for a short time but it would never last. I read online that this lubricant was great for arcade joysticks. I can tell you that they were correct. This stuff is amazing! The joystick is so fluid now that it almost feels broken! I have only applied it once and that was three months ago. It still feels like the first day I applied it. I’m sure every application will be different but this stuff is amazing for my purpose. Keep in mind that this lubricant is similar in consistency to tooth paste, minus the stickiness. If you need something that is sprayable or that is very fluid, this may not work. You need to physically place this lubricant into or onto the moving parts. **Q: Whats the residue/finish like?** A: It leaves a white grease behind but you can rub it in. **Q: Will this stop noise and leaking from convertible windows?** A: It definitely will not help with the noise. I purchased this grease with the same hope and was disappointed. I had better results with the 3M Squeak Reduction Tape, Clear, 1/2In x 5Yd sold on Amazon. It might take more than 1 layer of tape to effectively reduce the noise if your window rattles though. **Q: Can you apply this directly to your car window?** A: This is good for the rubber seals around doors.
