**Q: Does it come with a calibration certificate?**
A: Nope. But regardless it is a lovely rule.

**Q: can this be used as a precision straight edge ? (for cylinder head warpage measurement )**
A: Yes it’s rigid and machines flat and straight

**Q: Are the graduations "troughs" that you can use to precisely guide a center punch off the edge?**
A: Disclaimer regarding my previous answer. Just  noticed the picture on description page. If the pictures are accurate, first graduation doesn't seem to be correct from the end, and, its not made in Japan, now. My previous answer may not describe the USA 182-125 model.

**Q: Are the graduations etched?**
A: Yep. It's quite nice and very legible.
