The easiest way to put these on is to grab a bag. A large ziploc that can cover your foot or any bag. I typically use the bag the Ted hose comes with. Place your foot fully covered inside the bag. Now pull the stocking over the bag onto your leg, like a stocking or socks. It will slide right on. Then pull the bag out the stocking from the foot end. I purchased 3XL and these are being used for my post op knee replacement recovery. I’m 5’8” and weigh 228lbs. My surgical knee measurements are ankle 9”, calf 15” and both thighs 27” or more depending on how you sit or lay. My advice is that you use the size chart as a guideline and not an actual absolute for sizing. Example if I had only went with the measurements from the size chart I should have bought a L or XL and that would have not fit me at all. For me the top of the stockings (thigh) absolutely roll down, but they are still much better than the stockings from the hospital. As long as it doesn’t roll to the surgical site I can tolerate the nuisance.
