Not sure why they just didn't put a standard USB port on the unit, seems like there is space and cost less than including a converter cable. **Q: Do you need an extra adapter to use with a Macbook Pro?** A: If the Macbook Pro requires a special input/output connector then yes. If your Macbook Pro has a standard HDMI out then the only thing you will need is an HDMI type C adapter. There are 3 or 4 ends for an HDMI cable. The most common is type A which is the plug that goes to your TV, DVD player, etc. Then there is the one that connects to small devices like cell phones and that is HDMI type D. Then there is an in between connector called HDMI type C. To use an HDMI cable on this projector you will need an adapter from type A to type C. It's only a few bucks here on Amazon. So look for HDMI A to C adapter.
