It is better for statement pieces or med length necklaces . The longer necklaces actually fit better in the drawers. With that said, the drawers were actually very roomy and fit a lot more Than I anticipated. I didn't try to replace it because I was afraid of the replacement being broken as well. Other than that its' okay. It's just as pictured. There is a groove all the way around the top of the tall piece so the makeup piece fits in nicely. I used a couple of clear glue dots to secure it permanently. My daughter loves it. It fits nicely on her desk.The only issue was one of the necklace doors wouldn't close despite having magnets to hold them. The hinge was somewhat out of whack but being plastic (decent plastic not cheap) I was concerned.
