Another question: are those screws that hold axe "head" (?) in place-would not they get loose over time ?** A: I think the titanium coating is good, the blade is not titanium itself. I left it in my wet backpack after a week of rainy moose hunting. The blade looks brand new. I would throw a light coat of gun oil on it and you should have any issues long term. As for the screws, anything is possible, but I expect the engineers would have considered that, these aren’t pieces of Chinese steel.
