After speaking with Nortek Security, who manufactures the GoControl products, they said that all of their devices should have a sticker with a TX ID on it - if not, it's very likely that the detector is coming from an untrusted source. Like Nortek said, both of the detectors that were ordered from Amazon did not have the TX ID sticker, and neither could be detected by the 2Gig panel.
