Summary: Punch wheel is off by a few degrees so you can't get a clean punch.The wheel rotates OK to select between the hole sizes, but unfortunately it is indexed to be just shy of paralell with the brass base plate. This means when you make a punch, the heel side of the punch makes contact with the base plate, preventing the nose side from making contact. This means you don't get a full cut.I was able to get the punch wheel to rotate just past the correct index location, in which case it does puch properly. I may try to adjust the mechanism so this becomes the correct indexing location.Also the handle has the "Eau de Harbor Freight" smell - the strong odor of cheap plastic.Free / discounted sample provided for evaluation. My goal is an honest and informative review. That said, the hole punches have very sharp edges to allow for penetration through thick leather for a clean cut hole. Rubberized handles made it quite easy for me to grip. I like the fact there is a metal loop at the end of the handle to lock it in place when not in use, and also a metal bar at the front to lock the hole punch of choice in place as well.
